Dear Reader,
As always, I hope this love letter finds you well.
I hope you'll be spending the festive season somewhere lovely with your loved ones. Or somewhere lovely all alone, it doesn't really matter. Remember - while it is the season of giving, it's actually not about buying presents; it's about peace... kindness... love... compassion... togetherness with others, or togetherness alone - spent in self-reflection.
Have you noticed anything?... All these lovely things are actually free and so much needed in our world right now. Give them freely and unconditionally, expecting nothing in return. You will receive it all back tenfold, someday. It probably won't be right away and it may not even be from the same people you gifted them to. But you will receive it!
I'm spending the festive season in Greece for the first time in over 20 years! The weather is very unlike the North Pole, but I’m not complaining 😁
I love giving people gifts, so I thought I'd give the gift of health and put some quality food in people’s Christmas stockings. Rummaging through the often-slow Greek internet, I finally came across some honey products. Since it's winter here and the people are still very much in fear of Covid, I thought, "Perfect! We all know the health benefits of honey. This is it!".
The websites are adorned with not cheap, but still affordable lists of bee products, numerous award-winning products, photos of the beekeeping process, etc. etc.. I all but patted myself on the back for my brilliant idea!
And then I got to one page that ruined it for me.
Greek beekeepers have started vaccinating their bees!
It’s not only in Greece, though - it is already happening world-wide.
However, as reported by Entomology Today magazine in 2015, scientists took 15 years of research to discover that bees already naturally vaccinate their offspring. You can read about it here.
So why on earth are we humans interfering with nature yet again?
YES - our bee numbers have been facing massive man-made environmental issues for a while now, their numbers declining worldwide.
YES - our bees are responsible for pollinating many trees that supply the majority of our fruit, vegetable and nut produce.
YES - with their rapidly declining numbers, our food supply is also reported to be in danger of shortages, meaning we, too, could be in danger of extinction sooner than we’d like to be.
YES - the vaccine is claimed to be "natural"; however, it is also claimed to be "cheap". And that rings all my alarm bells, plus those on every Christmas tree worldwide. Does anyone else hear them? 🔔 🔔
If there's one thing I've experienced from modern medicine, is that if it's cheap, it's probably loaded with chemicals - just like our recent pandemic vaccines, which shall remain un-named, mainly because the reports of their side-effects sicken me to my stomach.
Instead of vaccinating the bee colonies, wouldn't it make more sense to ease up on all the pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, and the like, (now common knowledge that they are carcinogenic), since their potential and already identified side-effects are slowly proving to far outweigh their benefits? Then we could continue to leave the natural vaccination to the bees themselves. It worked fine up until now.
You are welcomed to have your own opinion about this. Substack welcomes free speech - and so do I.
All I am trying to do here is to provide some food for thought.
Which reminds me... I still haven't found any quality food for those Christmas stockings. Without knowing exactly what is in those bee vaccines, I am terribly sorry - I will fill them with something else.
Since Christmas celebrates kindness, I strive to be kind to my gift recipients. That’s why I choose to offer them the gift of health. Natural health - something no man-made vaccine until now has ever been able to replicate.
What goodies are you placing in your Christmas stockings this year? Feel free to share below, even if it is honey! People are always looking for last-minute gift ideas, you might just save someone at the last minute! 😉
Happy Christmas, everyone!
Love & Decibels,
